You make many decisions in life. Where to work, go to church, or to have children among many others. Someone told me once that flowers die and that is true but that doesn't mean that they don't have purpose while they are here. Romans 6 : 23 says that " For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." While we will die that doesn't mean that we do not have purpose. Sin brings on spiritual death and eternal seperation from God however John 3 : 16 states that " God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." While our purposes may change through life one thing remains the same and that is the love of God. Romans 10 : 9 says " That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Our purpose is not eternal death but eternal life through Jesus Christ. Our purpose is not to remain a sinner but to glorify the Father in all that we do. I encourage you to seek life in Jesus and I encourage you to seek purpose in Jesus because life is to short to die.

1 - 3 - 10 Commit yourself to get into shape by looking ahead and forgetting failure, a self checkup in forgiving, repairing relationships and turning your back on sin - become a healthier, stronger & vibrant Christian.
1 - 10 - 10 Training to be physically fit is on alot of minds this new year, however we must be spiritually fit as well. In order to be the Christian we should - train - it takes time, dedication, energy, continued practice and vision. 2 Timothy 2 -5 says if we compete as an athlete, we do not receive a victor's crown unless we compete according to the rules. For a Christian that is God's Word. Run the race, don't look back, stay focused - don't get off track, fight to the end and there Christ will give you rest and a crown.
1 - 17 - 10 We need a certain amount of physcial exercise but as I Timothy 4 - 8 says - physcial profits little but godliness is profitable unto all things. Today we are looking at the spiritual exercises that will keep us fit as Christians - such as running, walking, jumping, lifting and yes, dancing ( Psalm 150 says "Praise him with the timbrel and dance; praise him with stringed instruments and organs." ) James 1 22-25 states we should not merely listen to the word but act upon it - so do not deceive yourselves. Exercise your faith !
1 - 24 - 10 Attaining growth for the Christian life. While not perfect we should strive for excellence and with any differences God shall show it to you. Paul said in Phillipians 3 18 & 19 " For many walk, of whom I have told you often & now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ. Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly & whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things." Paul speaking to those who confessed Christ with their lips but denied Christ with their lives. They are worshiping self, live for indulgence, comfort and convenience. They boast freedom but a slave to sin. Where do you stand today?
1 - 31 - 10 Cancelled due to snow storm
2 - 7 - 10 The influence of One, the power of One. One boy and 5 loaves and 2 fishes and the power of Christ, one girl whom waited on Naaman's wife boldly proclaimed, one woman instrumental in saving a nation and Noah who by faith was instrumental in saving this world from extinction. One man who entered this world to redeem mankind ( Romans 5 18 & 19 ) from their sins. One can make a difference. Are you the one who will stand up, speak out, lend a helping hand - are you the one who will not sit by but proclaim the name of Jesus. One can and does make a difference. Question is - will you ?
2 - 14 -10 Valentine's Day - Remembering St. Valentine and knowing God's love for us. Receiving his love, returning love, sharing love and knowing "Jesus loves me this I know - for the Bible tells me so".
2 - 21 - 10 Trials and tribulations can be a test of our love for God. At times we may be tested in the areas of love, faith, obedience, sacrifice, humility, endurance and patience. How we react and respond tells a lot about our life. God refines us, making us stronger and better. Job 23 - 10 But he knows the way I take; When he has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.
2 - 28 - 10 Life is full of valleys and peaks. Mark 9 2 - 9. Even Christ had to go through the valley on the way to the cross. Christ before his valley took some disciples upon the mountain to catch a glimpse of his glory before the journey began. Are you in a valley today ? During troubles and difficult times we must stay focused on the Father. Through these times - though they may be difficult - glory is around the corner. Amen !
3 - 7 - 10 Psalm 91 1 - 16 Seeking the Lord as a hide away. He will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs. We can find rest, refuge, redemption, reliance, retribution, reinforcement, resource, request and resilience in the Lord.
3 - 14 - 10 God is worthy of our praise. Isaiah 43 - 21. We get real excited at ballgames. Standing, cheering, hollaring among others - shouldn't we get excited about God - after all he sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. God is worthy of our praise. Praise includes clapping ( Psalm 47-1 ), lifting hands ( Psalm 134-1 ), singing ( Psalm 100-2 ), being verbal ( Psalm 100 ). This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise. When was the last time you praised the Lord ? That long. Aren't you ashamed - after all he does for you.
3 - 21 - 10 Exodus 27 1 - 8 - Moses was instructed to build a altar in the tabernacle. Specific details were given for this project. The altar was built of wood and covered in bronze - 2 elements - just as Christ was 2 elements - truly man and truly God. Repeated sacrafices were made upon the altar as required by God until the supreme sacrafice was made upon the only wooden altar ( the cross ) by Christ. Who shed his blood for you and I.
3 - 28 - 10 Palm Sunday -
4 - 4 - 10 Easter Sunday - Praise
4 - 11 -10 TBA
4 - 18 - 10 TBA
4 - 25 -10 Making a joyful noise unto the Lord. 40 % of Christians don't sing and or leave it up to those who can sing. Scripture says the Lord is worthy of our Praise and to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. No sweeter sound in the courts of heaven than his children lifing Him up in song & praise.
5 - 2 - 10 Colossians 1 9 - 14 Paul offers up prayers continually for them to be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. That we might be fruitful and increase in knowledge of God. A key factor for us is to know God's will and have a spiritual understanding of God's work in us. To be known by the fruit we bare - to be fruitful for the Lord in whom we have redemption through his blood, even forgiveness of sins.
