W E L C O M E from Shady Grove Christian Church Star , North Carolina Are you searching for a church home ? Just visiting the area. You are invited to join us at Shady Grove. Hebrews 10 : 25 states " Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together . . " Come join us !
REVIVAL Shady Grove welcomed Rev. Scott Walker, Rev. Jeff Freeman and Evg. Greg Lentz for Dr. Ralph Sexton Jr. God blessed our services each night. Revival was held September 27 thru October 2 at 7:00pm each night. Speacial singing was by Jim Weaver, Gail Britt, The Loflin's & the S G Choir. Revival begins within - have you asked God to send revival to your heart ? Due to family emergencies Dr. Ralph Sexton Jr. was unable to be with us. Brother Greg Lentz came and delivered the Word of God in his sted and we appreciate his dedication. Dr. Sexton has promised to come to Shady Grove after his upcoming trip to Israel. We will keep you posted. Be much in prayer for his wife and mother as well as his travels.
May the churches in 2010 forge ahead with the message of Christ and add to the church daily rather than to "steal" from other congregations & call it growth, lay aside their lust and competition for the "better" sound system and video screens & the "bigger/newer" bus, put aside their grudges, gossiping and slander, rely on the Holy Spirit of God rather than their money in the bank, have God fearing men in the pulpits rather than salary seeking career men, men who seek to teach the Bible rather than heep upon themselves titles to embrace their ego, godly leaders ( deacons, Sunday school teachers, workers and choir leaders, etc." ) who seek to do God's will rather than their will, dedicated Christians who want to serve God rather than their own lusts & desires - who want to be in church each service rather than like an occasional revolving door just to get enough to last til next visit, Christians desiring to have the proper relationship with Christ whereas prayers reach the ears of Christ, followers who don't rob God of his tithes and offerings and churches desiring to be houses of worship & prayer rather than entertainment centers, stores and restaurants and even snack shops in Sunday School ! Lord, help your churches of all varieties & sizes seek your face and to restore their relationships with you so that we can lead others to Christ for with the motes in our eyes - how can we help others when we have issues of our own - AMEN
